Embrace Ministry

Supporting the needs of children and parents in our community through adoption and foster care

Our Embrace ministry exists to support children and parents in need in our community. At The Way, we believe adoption and orphan care are at the heart of the gospel. We are compelled to answer the call to minister to vulnerable children and families because of what Jesus did for us. He stepped into our brokenness and made a way for us to be adopted into the family of God.

The Way’s Embrace ministry works with foster families in our congregation to provide support and encouragement. We also have information and certification opportunities for families interested in fostering. We believe foster care and adoption are at the heart of the gospel and we encourage everyone to consider how they can get involved in changing the lives of children and families in the foster care system. Embrace is praying for three families in our church to rise up to start the fostering process, which includes training by a local agency.

Embrace also supports two local ministries, CareNet and Carried to Full Term.

First Care Women’s Health (CareNet)

Since 1990, CareNet Pregnancy Resource Centers have provided help and support to thousands of people struggling with unplanned pregnancy. Their vision is that every woman and man struggling with an unplanned pregnancy would come through their doors and be transformed in Christ. The Way Bible Church ran a Change for Life Baby Bottle campaign last year. Our congregation filled empty baby bottles with spare change, cash and checks. We raised $12,967.24, which was the largest donation CareNet Manassas received from any church doing a Baby Bottle campaign that year! The funds raised help save lives, spare hearts and share the gospel in our community.

Carried to Full Term

Carried to Full Term is a nonprofit Christ-centered ministry in Haymarket Virginia that provides long-term housing to pregnant women in crisis, including women who have been abandoned and are homeless. Their goal is to transform the lives of the mothers to have them become self-sufficient and independent because they believe every baby deserves a home. We support this ministry by donating various items based on their needs, encouraging our congregation to get involved in volunteering at Carried to Full Term, as well as promoting their fund-raising events.
