Fauquier FISH

Fauquier FISH (For Immediate Sympathetic Help) provides food to individuals and families in need. Their food pantry includes non-perishable items as well as breads, produce, meat and dairy items, baby food and diapers, personal care items, and dog and cat food. They envision Fauquier county as a place where no one goes hungry and anyone in need has a place to turn. Fauquier FISH provides The Way with a list of items that are in greatest need ahead of the holiday season and we host a church-wide drive to collect the requested items. The Way also helps FISH by donating food and meals throughout the year, particularly near the holiday season, to the Weekend Power Pack (WPP) program. The Weekend Power Pack program sends backpacks of food, known as Power Packs, home with students on Fridays to meet the nutritional needs of Fauquier County children who have been identified as at risk of hunger on weekends.

Fauquier Family Shelter

The Fauquier Family Shelter provides emergency shelter and transitional housing in Warrenton, VA. Their Vint Hill Transitional Housing program is an intensive, multi-year program assisting families in the transition from being homeless to acquiring the skills necessary to maintain stable and independent living. The community provides a structured, safe environment for the nurturing of families, the growth and well-being of children, and fostering community. Each year The Way Bible Church provides the food for the families living at the shelter to celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional meal together.

Young Life

Young Life makes it their mission to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ, invite them to follow Him, care for them regardless of their response, and change lives in the process. Their ministries include middle and high school, college and university, teen moms, and kids with disabilities.

The Way Bible Church partners with Young Life by providing leadership, volunteers, and funds for Young Life at each high school in Fauquier County as well as Capernum, which serves Fauquier’s children with disabilities.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child® is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the United States. Each year, The Way partners with this ministry by hosting a shoebox drive.
